Black Rice Baby Porridge

 

This porridge is a wonderful baby food as it's so easy to chew, healthy and yummy!

Ingredients (serves 2)

  • 1 cup of Thai Fragrant Black Rice

  • 1/2 cup of Highland Black Glutinous Rice

  • 1l of water

  • additional vegetables:  cut pumpkins, carrots and onions

Preparation

Pour both rice varieties into a pot. Rinse once. 

Add the water and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce to a simmer for 45 minutes or until the rice grain bursts and the texture is soft like porridge.

While cooking, you can add cut pumpkins, carrots and onions (I love it as my mum has been cooking porridge this way  since I was little and still does so today!).

Flavor and top with soy sauce, ginger and green onions according to your taste.

Ready to serve.
